I broke my Ubuntu install on my EeePC, quite spectacularly. I need to reinstall Linux on my EeePC. This requires a bootable flash drive. To make a bootable flash drive, a working Linux install is required. I broke my Ubuntu install..

Currently installing Hardy in a Parallels VM on my Mac. Last time I tried this it did not work, but everything seems fine now. Oh, a blank screen...looks promising..
Dear Apple, please make a subnotebook (no, the MacBook Air isn't one) so I can have one of those instead. Sadly this will happen about the same time they release a mid-range upgradeable tower (see: never) so I have to learn to love Ubuntu. Y'know, I love it, when it works. I fully accept that what I did screwed it up and it is (mostly) my fault (although there's a couple of things it ruined all by itself, thanks).
Meh. I still would like a Mac laptop, but I don't want a full sized laptop, too much hassle. The Eee goes almost everywhere with me, it even fits in my (larger) handbags! Plus every girl I meet and several guys all think it's adorable. If you are a guy, get one and you will get surrounded by chicks wanting to have a go on your 'cute baby computer ^______^'. Heck I even bonded with a random guy over the merits of overclocking it's processor and installing Ubuntu on it (his had XP, bah!) so it could even get guys for a geeky girl

Woah, the VM is actually booting, I AM SAVED
Maybe

At least Linux is interesting. Macs are too stable. There's never any issue to fix so I have to invent some obscure functionality that I "need" just to have a challenge on a boring weekend. At least that does not contain the panic factor as in "OMG THE LAPTOP I TAKE ALL MY NOTES ON IS SLOWLY BECOMING UNUSABLE". Although giving up is never an option, even if I don't REALLY need iTunes streaming to an unauthorized client..which I still haven't got working..yet...
Oh well. Home all weekend it looks like so I have lots of time to do this. Ubuntu, you better treat me better next time (and I promise I won't do that thing again to screw you up)
